My head was aching. I could barely see a single thing. The words "Where am I?" circled through my head, like cars racing at the Grand Prix. Who am I? I suddenly started thinking. I could only remember two things; a bright blue beam and a sudden pressure. I must have blacked out after that. Distorted, dark laughter surrounded me.
"Why don't you get up, and smell the ASHES? Mwehehehe..."
The sound of some type of robot slowly got louder. And then it faded away. My sense of feeling was coming back. I was lying on stone. Badly carved stone, at any rate. I tried to get up, but failed miserably. I was too weak. After a few minutes, which felt like forever, my sight came back. I took a look around me. I was lying on a huge stone path, carved roughly. Dark purple and black clouds swirled around me, with the odd flash of red...
A sudden flare of the dark energy surged into my body. A nightmarish image of some horrible creature flashed through my mind. I remembered it from somewhere. A, somewhat ironically named, four legged arachnid made of purple goop, and mass amounts of weaponry.
I racked my brain trying to remember what it was.
